Lenox , Massachusetts New

The Chabad of the Berkshires (also known as Chabad of Berkshire County) is a vibrant center for Jewish life in the region, led by Rabbi Levi and Sara Volovik. Their approach is all about "reaching out to all, with all our heart," making it a very welcoming space regardless of your level of observance. Whether you’re a local or just visiting for the season, Chabad of the Berkshires in Lenox offers a warm, non-judgmental space to connect with your heritage. From soulful Shabbat services to hands-on holiday programs, there’s a seat at the table for everyone. Since arriving in the Berkshires in the summer of 2004, countless people of all faiths have benefited from these vital programs. Shabbat Services: Inspiring morning services (10 AM) followed by a delicious community Kiddush. Holiday Celebrations: From public Menorah lightings at The Mount to community Passover Seders and Purim feasts. Religious Services & Observance: 🔹 Minyan & Shabbat: Regular services with a focus on song and spirit. 🔹 Lifecycle Events: Bar/Bat Mitzvah tutoring and Brit Milah services. 🔹 Home Mitzvot: Assistance with Mezuzah and Tefillin checking or kitchen koshering. 🔹 Kosher in the Berkshires: Access to kosher catering and holiday food distribution Lifelong Learning: "Torah & Tea" for women, adult education lectures, and one-on-one study. In July 2025, the building opened as the new Chabad of the Berkshires center, marking one of the largest capital investments in the region's Jewish community history. A Multifaceted Campus: The 22,000-square-foot facility now houses a social hall, educational spaces, and the region's first local mikvah. Community Resources: Beyond religious services, the campus features a meditation terrace, a children's playground, and courts for basketball and pickleball.
